968 Instrument panel died
Driving a 1994 968, hit a bump and everything is dead- speedo, tach, all gauges.
Checked & change the fuse, climbed under the dash and found no loose wires or connections. Ideas? Thanks

My 928 has a vdo box under the drivers foot pad. You have to remove the whole piece that your left foot rests on. This unit controls alot of the error checking. It is a vdo unit. I don't know what you would call it. Ccm or check control module. Not sure where it is on your car or if it can cause this issue bot it interfaces with all the gauges.

Have had this problem before. The connectors have tabs(levers) that hold the two halves together. They are easily broken by whomever is not aware that they are there. If one of the two levers is broken, a good bump can pop one side out just enough to cause a bad connection.
I am guessing that you pushed on the connectors, I know they are hard to get to from under the dash. I have taken gauge panels out enough on my cars that I can do it quickly and w/o removing steering wheel. I would first give a firm, "tachnical tap" to gauge panel, and if that didn't work, pull it and look at connectors more closely.
