Trouble starting my 944, Help!

HI,
My 944 has been sitting for the past year. I am trying to get it started but so far no luck. Battery good, starter good, spark good. inject starter fluid the engine starts for a brief moment. I am thinking fuel. Any suggestions on getting the fuel to engine? Any other suggestions?
Thanks,
Tim

try jumping the dme relay. See Clarks or do a search on how to jump the relay
This would be easiest place to start!

Could be the DME Relay, or the fuel pump, or the fuel filter. Maybe even old gas - try adding new gas to the tank and let the fuel pump run for a minute before starting.

Gummed injectors - pull one at a time to see if they are firing.

Put your hand on the fuel pump and have some one try to start the car, if the pump runs you will feel or even here it. First place I would check,if the pump does not run you could test for power and ground at the pump. If the pump does run then I would check for fuel pressure at the fuel rail, there is a test port there for that. If that is all good then check to see if the injectors are getting a signal from the ecm. Here in the south if a car sits for over 12 months every thing in the fuel system is plugged up. We usely have to replace or clean out the fuel tank, replace pump and clean injectors.
