Blue smoke when starting in the cold

Yesterday when I hopped into my car for my pleasureable drive to university I was surprized to see a bit of blue smoke during the rough idling associated with cold starts! It was like 25-30degF. It went away before I got 50' but was disconcerting to say the least. I usually have condensation coming out but this is the only time i've seen smoke (even when starting it for the first time in 6 months when I bought it).

Any ideas on what this is? I've never had a car smoke before. What should I check? Is this just something that happens in cold weather or should I be worried?

Since I got my Porsche it has been more reliable than my Honda Civic! I don't want to see that change. Thanks in advance.
