Starting Issues

I have a 1987 924S and recently is stopped starting on first shot and now requires a bit of cranking before it starts. Usually it will start on the second attempt but sometimes requires a 3rd or 4th. This happens hot or cold, after sitting over night or immediately after starting. Sitting time and temperature appears to have no impact on this new issue.

New Parts (replaced after issue started):
DME Relay
Reference Sensors
Fuel Pump & check valve (old pump began wining)
Cap & Rotor
Idle Stabilizer
Fuel Pressure Regulator
Vacuum lines

Any thoughts? Thank you in advance for your help.

~Andrew

Does the tach bounce when you crank?

New Cap and rotor, and the tach does bounce. When the car starts it runs great but is difficult to start. When started, the car idles and runs perfect, I've checked all vacuum lines and intake gaskets and no sign of leaks. Could I have issues with DME solder joints? CO at warm idle set by local Porsche mechanic and has not been touched since.

Does the AFM function during the start cycle or is the CO hard set by the DME when starting?

Thanks, Andrew

Unplugged the new Idle stabilizer valve and car starts great. Think I got a bad idle stabilizer valve (went with rebuilt not new)..
Thanks for the input. Andrew
