Control Arm bushings
Do the rear control arm bushings,,castor blocks as some call them...on the front A arms wear out...replaced everything up front, proper alignment, new tires balanced to perfection, and still have a high speed shake/shimmy in the steering wheel....I can't remember if i replaced them 10 years ago when I got the car..I replaced the A arms 10 years ago....I was reading about a solid bushings on elephant racing stuff....any input....

definitely, especially if there is any kind of oil or power steering leak that allows fluid to get on them
i have the elephant racing castor blocks on my car, and like them, though on an average street car you are not likely to notice much of an improvement, and the rubber is more compliant when it comes to bumps and such |

If you want to go cheaper, check out Prothane poly bushes for MkI Rabbit.
Although. . .your shake is more likely a poor balance job or perhaps wear in TREs or rack.
