944 (1985/1) engine sputter under load

so my 944 started sputtering a little after work last night, and is progressively getting worse. sitting in neutral, the car revs and idles like normal. but when driving, or under any load it starts cutting out and sputtering. i push in the clutch and it idles fine. To add to it, last week i got a $352 ticket for 60mph in a 25 so i literally have like no money to shotgun it.
any suggestions?

stop speeding like that?

more than double the speed limit? around here, they will take your license on the spot and your car -will- be impounded. check your airflow meter as per the guide on clarks garage.

Has it been happening all on the same tank of gas(did it start after a fill up?). ethanol picks up water. you could have gotten a bad batch. It is a very common occurrence with the new gas. I would make sure the gas is okay then start diagnosing from there

TRUST ME, i do not speed like that anymore. My friend was in a 325e and thought he could beat me to his house, but no, i won. haha

and it started before i filled up, but became wayyyy worst like right after i filled up. so maybe the gas.i'll investigate

worse after you filled it up, but started before you filled it. i'm betting fuel filter.

doesn't surprise me in the least! my dad was having poor idle on his 40k mile time capsule... turns out that a 944 doesn't run well with a dirty/corroded cap & rotor.
