86 rear shocks 951.333.032.02 how much gas fill?
Hi guys, Just need some clarification on how a set of 951.333.032.02 stock shocks should feel when removed. These would be the standard shocks I have seen on a 85.5 - 87 944 N?A cars. I sold a few sets off some parts cars and they all seemed the same. The car felt solid before removal . Once removed a nice checked hydraulic movement for in inward and outward strokes . They don’t hyper extend like a set of KYB or Bilstien shocks. When max compressed about the last 1-2’ inches does compress with a gas spring back cant keep them fully compressed. I suspect there is some gas filling to keep any trapped air all one way and not let it get it randomly into internal hydraulic check valves does that sound right? Or would these be always fully extended when removed new? Have a small sales dispute in hand I need to resolve…
Thanks Keep the shiny side up !!
