New member and new Porsche Owner

Hey guys

My names Is Jace downes Im a 16 year old Kid that has always been a GM Truck guy but not no more lol

Im in the state of maine Close to NH


Well I just bought my first porsche Its a 1979 924. Well heres the story of the car A few years ago I bought a dirt bike from a good friend. well I was talking to him and i said got any thing for sale I said what about that porsche. He said let me think about it. So He pulled in yesterday and Said Ill sell It. I payed 450 for It.

I asked him does it run, nope Turns out to be wiring :/ Well He gave me a brand new battery for it and I said ok so I stuck It it in And nothing The tac and fuel pump are the only thing I see having life and the volt meter. Also Theres this strange lock thing under the dash? Any of your cars have one If so whats It for?

Have any of you had wiring problems?

"strange lock thing under the dash" is most likely an alarm switch or ignition kill.

Well Worked on this thing today and I was doing some looking at that Lock thing It Says Chapmen Insurance on It with a paten number What the heck Is It?

It was A lock for the hood.
