944S Clutch Replacement

So I have the 1987 Porsche in for Clutch replacement. So what all should I replace while I am there. First and foremost I plan on using the Sachs Clutch replacement kit. What else should I look for, check and or replace.

Ensure that they turn the flywheel. I always use new bolts throughout(torqued to the correct specs) and also replace the throwout bearing guide tube and the pilot bearing. Also check the ends of the fork arms to make sure they are not excessively worn. I also replace the roller bearings in the fork arms and check the rod that holds the fork in place. Check to ensure the slave cylinder is not leaking.

rear main seal.

cut out notch in bellhousing for speed/ref sensors. make a foam/rubber seal for it so nothing falls in. also, make a plug for the flywheel timing mark peephole. so that u don't drop any bolts into there later.

clean up the shifter linkage arms. add shims to get it tighter. also wouldn't be a bad time to service your CV's or flush yer trans

+1 and +1

The only other thing I can think of is rebuilding the torque tube, if you need to. This would be a good time. That's not to say it will be easy, just easier.

Maybe check the clutch hydraulics, see if the clutch pedal is a bit mushy.
