When i was taking out my clutch i found 2 pieces on the floor and i dont know what they are. Now that i am about to put my new clutch in on my 84 944 i need to know what the part is. Anyone have any ideas what it could be?

I can't tell you what the rubber piece is, but the metal one sure looks like part of a reference or speed sensor. How do they look on your car? Maybe they are leftovers from another owners experiences?

They are things accidentally dropped into the hole in the bellhousing. Count your blessings they didn't damage anything.

The rubber one looks like something someone tried to use to plug the clutch inspection hole.

I looked and both my speed and refrence have the metal piece at the end off because when taking off the bell housing I didn't remove them completely. So can I replace those metal plugs or do I have to buy new speed and refrence sensors.
