Swap heads!

I searched the forum for this but I could not find any posts on this topic, I was wondering if the 2.7L engine could fit a 2.5L Head or vise versa?

Thanks in Advance

Paul

NO, the 2.7 head is structured differently than the 2.5.

2.7 head fits a 3L block straight away, no mods needed..

Now a 944S 16V head will fit any 2.5L block... hmmm....

i heard many times that people take a 2,5L turbo head and put it on a 2,7 or 3,0 block but must machine some water ports.
for vice-versa i'don't now and for sure is not a great performance idea....

Swap heads!

I was only considering this because I crashed my car a 2.5 and now will soon have access to a 2.7 shell and engine. So I was thinking instead of taking the whole egine out of the 2.7 that's not working (brown Head). I could just put my freshly rebuilt 2.5 head on it, adjust and drive off. In my head it worked perfect. I was under the impression that the bottoms of the egines where the same.

Always thanks for your responses
