Where do you add automatic transmission fluid and how do you check the level?

nynor 08-07-2011 07:35 PM

i think that on the 934, you just imagine it to be at the right level. :)

Nope, you have Porsche factory mechanics pull it, drain it, and refill.

Is yours the 934 fitted with aircon, radio, carpets, heater, sunroof?

Alright this is fun but I for one say we forgive the typo. Snowxpert, I believe you mean 924S?

i hope we didn't piss him off too badly. someone here is bound to know where to fill and check the auto transmission on the 924S.

Both are done at the reservoir right on the back of the trans, you'll need to rig up something to get fluid in (maybe a turkey baster).

The 934 had power windows so it could meet the minimum weight for its class.

The power windows adds weight low down and in the longitudinal centre of the car and makes it convenient when paying the frequent tolls during the 1000 Kms at the Nurburgring

968rz 08-09-2011 06:42 AM

That looks like the nice set up Ernie, I'll give that a go next time I change the fluids.

nynor 08-09-2011 07:31 AM

i thought it was pretty tame, actually.
