clutch cylinder

Hi all, I'm hoping someone can help me with info on a connection on the clutch master cylinder. The pipe going into the top is not secured with a solid connection instead there is a plastic elbow going into what appears to be a rubber seal, is this right? The area around this seal is wet and the fluid leaking. I need to check it's not the pipe itself letting by, but this seal arrangement seems rather unusual and can't find any reference to it in the manual.

make sure the elbow is seated in the seal correctly. I'm not sure if there is a replacement seal you can buy. You might have to match one up at a parts store.

Thanks for that, I have replaced the hose and clips and so far have no leakage, so looks like the seal is ok. I made some enquiries and found that the plastic elbow can be purchased separately if required. Not sure if that applies to the seal though.
It looks like I will have to replace the flexible pipe going from the end of the master cylinder soon, do you think there is anyway to do this without having to bleed the system? I've heard bleeding is a bit of a pain.

If you want to make sure all of the air is out of the clutch hydraulic system when replacing the blue hose (Hose from Main MC to Clutch MC)...Get an Oil squirter can and a length of rubber/plastic tubing. Attach the tubing to the Clutch Slave Cylinder bleeder fitting and pump up from the bottom. With a Turkey baster remove excess brake fluid from Main Master Cyl. Reservoir - air will be pushed out the top.

..................Have done it this way many times................
