Question Steering Wheel

Hi:

Please help me with this:
I have an 84 944 with brown leather steering wheels 3 arms.
I need to know what other Porsche´s steering wheel fits on my car ?
The 914 steering wheels fits on my car?
If yes what model year of 911 fits on my 84 944 ?
And the most important, the 85.5 944 and later models fit on my 84 ?
The 924s and 94´4 turbo steering wheels fits on my car ?

My steering wheel is on poor condition, and I really like a lot the 4 arms 911, 944 steering wheel, but I don´t know if this model exist in brown color ?, I atach a photo of this 4 arms wheel.

Thanks and regards
Eduardo

Eduardo,

Yes that 4 spoke wheel will fit. You may have problems with your turn signals cancelling correctly (as I did when I swapped my 3 spoke for a 4). Good luck.

Thanks for your answer.

Would you please tell me the year and the Porsche model of your new steering wheel . That it´s exactly that I wanted.
I know that the 928 can´t fits, why ?
regards
eduardo

I swapped my three spoke captains wheel for a four spoke. I switched the backing plates and have had no problem with the turn signal not cancelling out. You can probably find a brown four spoke on eBay or try looking up people who are parting out their 944's. Good luck!

Sorry Eduardo,

I am still in the dark ages as far as photography is concerned. That shot was taken with my Pentax conventional point-and-shoot and scanned in.

Good luck

I had a similar problem, but I went with a Dino 4spoke wheel. Needed to buy a Dino hub as well. This wheel is considerably more solid (eliminates lots of vibration) than the original porsche wheel. I wouldn't look at Grant, but Momo and Dino make good products.

Here's front center of the actual roof. The part I think you're questioning is accessed thru little plugs, 2 hex heads and one phillips is how it's attached on mine. The one pic show the part, sorry it's alittle out of focus, I already put the roof back in the bag when I realized that.
