951 chip concern
Ok so my KLR was going bad, cutting fuel at high boost - anyhow took the car to a local porshe guy who works out of his garage and he pulls a dusty red box with some old autothority stage 2 chips inside. We throw them in and the car runs perfect, but my concern is what if those chips were for a 951 with a bigger turbo, or perhaps a larger air intake - considering these chips are customizable I have no true idea what these chips are set for. My car is mostly stock and he claims the chips are for a stock car. Is this a legit concern? What are the signs I might look for if the chip is not set correctly for my car? Thanks guys!

Maybe you should look into getting known correct chips for your 951 for piece of mind. If it were me I would run 93 octane fuel to be on the safe side until you knew for sure. You could always install a wide band O2 sensor and that would tell you if you were lean at high rpms and other good to know details and if all looked good you could leave the autothority chips in.

Odds are, the chips are NOT for the "s" model. You should easily be able to get the part numbers off the chips and cross to their website.

it would be great if you had a wideband so you could see how its tuned
