s motor in to non s chassis

I decided to post this because there just isnt alot of info on what what is needed to complete this swap. I figured that by me posting this it will help others who attempt the swap in gathering parts.

1. the first thing you need of course is an s motor...in my case I used a 90 s2 engine and put it in an 87 944 na. needs to be complete from clutch housing to MAF sensor and computer

2. You will need the exhaust from an s. THey look similar but for some reason turned the flanges that mount to the engine a different way.

3. You need a throttle cable from an s. Becareful because depending on year engine you have the throttle cable is different. any one need a cable from a 91 s2?

4.The next piece you will need and I found almost no info on is the ballast resisters for the fuel injectors. They will plug in on the passenger fender in a round plug on the s's harness.

5. The next thing is the fuel lines on the s are different. I cut the steel line from the s and used its metric fittings and cut the n/a's lines and put them together.

6.the next thing is the ignitor. The s has to have it. It uses a shielded harness. and has to be wired in to the n/a. You can find out the specifics on the wiring by doing a search on this board.

7. There is some wiring that needs to be changed in the 14 pin connecter and you tap in and get power from fuse 7 to power the computer...I won't detail this because this has been covered here already and on rennlist.

Thats about all I can think of at this point? I'm sure some one else has something to add.

Thanks

James
