well faaakkkk!!

putting engine girdle back on...torqed all the main studs already. go to put on the bolt that holds the oil pickup intake side on. damn thing strips!!!!!

anyone know how deep the hole is? helicoilable? it just sux i have to crack the girdle again

I think your 944 might hate you more then mine does. Don't remember how deep that bolt is but I might have pictures I can post from my rebuild

do not helicoil it. time-sert it.

What. Drill and tap that or just run an oversize tap down the threads.

it wasn't the bolt that stripped. it was the threads on the block.
