84-944 starts then stops in about two seconeds
I have a 944 than I drive about once a week or so. For the last couple of months the car would die after starting three or four times and then be ok. Last night I had to have it towed as I only got a few blocks from my house and it stopped. What it is doing now is starting, running about two seconds and then dying. When you give it gas to try to go it dies. I have recently replaced both sensors (bought from you guys) and the DME relay is also new. Any idea what is going on here? I don't remember replacing the fuel filter for a long time...any chance that cheap fix would work?

Could be the fuel filter or the fuel pump - DME relay if when it goes out it usually stays out with no start. Fuel Pumps some times go out erratically like that, and sometimes they will just quit. Have also seen symptoms like that when the wiring to the Throttle Position Sensor is bad/loose/corroded. Could also be the TPS it's self...

I don't think it is the DME relay because I have two of them and it does it with both of them. I might change the fuel filter as it is very old.
