Leaking Banjo bolt - name the part?

My 1987 Porsche 924s has a leaking Banjo bolt with fuel coming out threw a circular hole on the banjo bolt. I intend to replace the whole fuel line, which goes from the fuel pump to the fuel filter. Which is number 10 in the diagram below. I am having trouble finding the name of the part and where to get one?

Any help in the matter will be appreciated.

There are two different types of lines used so look under the car to verify what you have.

I have had a look under and found this number on the hose - 282.0800-1-9.5x15.5

Where should i look for the numbers you gave?

Just look at the shape of the hose you have. The -04 hose is basically long and straight, the -07 curved. Look at the pictures for reference..

Is their anyway of knowing if the 944 part will fit the 924s?

Jack,
Your first post diagram is not for a 924S. Your PET is for the early 944 82.5 to 85.1.
It should be the same hose but to be certain................


In the 924S PET it is part 12---944 356 041 07

That is the product found and correct diagram,

I just need to find the part - they have it here but i am from Norfolk, UK. Concerned about shipping cost (Commercial Invoices). I properly will buy from here as im having trouble finding it in the UK.

Also you wouldn't have an idea as to what caused the hole, i can understand if it had cracked but a circular hole seems a bit odd?

This part will be the last addition to getting her back on the road after 8 long rusty years.

I have a couple of fuel pumps on the shelf but I do not have the hose in question.

When I changed the fuel pumps, I do not recall any "circular hole" in the banjo bolt.

I reused my fuel pump copper crush washers but if I were to do it again, I would get new.
The old crush washers just barely sealed with much effort.

Be careful and use a wrench on the fuel pump to loosen the hose. If you do not carefully remove the hoses, you may ruin the top seal of the fuel pump by twisting the top.

If you could draw a rough diagram or a close up photo of the "circular hole" , I'd check my hoses for you.

There is a fuel check valve attached to the fuel pump.

Hi John,

I've spoken to someone at Pelican parts and they do ship to the UK, so i will be ordering it shortly.

With regards to the hole, it is in the ring of the banjo bolt and its so small. I think i could use a pin to block it.

I suggest you get 3 new crush washers as well if you haven't already.

Jack,

Part 28 is the in tank Fuel Strainer. Unscrews. It keeps out big chunks of rust,dirt, grass, the mystery matter that is in the bottom of some fuel storage tanks at the fuel stations.

I changed mine a couple of years ago and the strainer was torn in many places. The fuel filter will catch this stuff but then it will clog and create poor fuel pressure.
