some little punk egged my car!

It was at the movie theater sat night. I had to park way far up away from the building because it was packed. There is always middle school age delinquent looking kids I see and I bet it was them. I noticed it sun morning and it came off with water. It still is just annoying to have to worry about crap like this happening. The poor kids need a grasp on reality. Oh well, at least it came off right?

Yer lucky... definately not cool, but really that's nuthing... I was talking to the infamous Shaun online yesterday (first time in awhile i guess) he just got done repairing his 944. His car, along with all the other cars on his street, including like 5 of his relatives cars, were bashed by baseball bats New Years Eve. His car lost all the windows and they dented up most the body panels. Not having insurance to cover that, he did all the body work himself... he's been workin on it after school and just finished it. He sent me some pics, the car looks great. He definately sounds incredibly happy with the results. When I look back at the comments I made about Shaun yesterday before I spoke with him online, it's kind of amazing how right on I was about Shaun. If you think he was proud of his car before, talk to him now that he has 3 months of non-stop personal labor worked into his car.

What a drag!
When that happened to my T-Bird the egg left a circular scratch where it impacted.
Some little punk's have been letting the air out and sticking nails in our cars at work (yet another resone I DON'T drive my Porsche to work!)
People can be such jerks, I live a block from the Pacific ocean and people come from miles around to sit in the park and enjoy the view... and then they leave there trash on the lawn and use the bushes as a bathroom...
Duh...

anyway at least the egg washed off.

yeah I do consider myself very very lucky! When I first saw it I was expecting the worst but it ended up being nothing... that's a damn shame about shaun's car and all those others, and no insurance- ouch!!! Well glad to hear he got it fixed and loves it. I don't think anyone loves their cars more than p-car owners! hehe

Some young punks tried to do a drive by egging of my car. They tried it twice but both times just came up short and the eggs landed about a foot away from my car. You would think they could find something better to do with their time.

The latest thing in my city is people going around shooting windows out of cars, houses and stores with ball bearings and sling shots. They have done something like $30'000 worth of damage so far in the city. I hope the cops catch them before I get my car out for the summer.

my old ****box was painted balled during a high school basketball game i was playing, the 1st time it happened i couldn't do anything about it, but this old buick followed me all the way home, told the coach and the next home game the parking lot had 3 cop cars hiding in the dark watching my car, right before the start of the game i was pulled out of the dressing by cops for some questions, the car had been paint balled again and the poor cops lost track of the car, they asked if i knew what make/model, we drove around the lot and i spotted the car, they were so close to my car that it splattered back on to the suspects car, here's the punch line, the 2 idiots who did it were bench warmers on my team, not only were the cops there but the principal, sports director, and coach, each of whom started there own interrogations on the spot, the coach yanked there uniforms, criminal charges, and academic consequences, the car suffered 5 minor dents all of which weren't cost affective to fix, i feel your pain

I was at the movies once, in my 2nd 944 and had all four tires slashed.

uh oh... now i'm worried...
What crippler was talking about happened to my house... they hit our front window with the slingshot... gonna cost the landlord $500.00 to fix....
What worries me is my car wasn't far away... i didn't know they were going for cars too... if they do another driveby i will freak out.... I can't afford to replace the glass in the rear hatch.

Hey Amurley,

Yeah they have been going after cars too. The Monster truck at O'leary's had all of the windows broken along with some of their other cars. I also heard that they had several cars that had body damage done to them to. So keep a close watch of your car.

I hate to see such a long thread on a topic like this, because it's such a shame that there are those of us who are honest, diligent and give back to our community. The only way to resolve something like this, is not by getting annoyed and angry at people. But to try and show generosity and good-will to kids who resemble the ones we see everyday who need to be disciplined. Their parents couldn't do a good job, so it's up to the community and us to do it. We show it by smiling and saying "hello" or "how are you?", and I don't want to say anything with my religon; but it's necessary to go out of your way to correct bad behavior(cussing to name one) of the ones who need it.

P.S. I can't just say all that without being ripped off too. That has been my philosophy even when I saw the swirl marks on my rear quarter panel, or the receipts from saturday, when the night before I had 3/4 of my tools taken away from me.

wannaberacer, I definitely agree

I named the thread as I did because I was upset with what happened. I'm not mad at the kids at all, they are indeed mis-guided. This reminds me of a few years ago in school a kid wanted to fight me and I refused, he hit me and I just pushed him away w/out striking back. (don't want to sound like a preacher) but remember the old saying turn the other cheek? That's how I try to live my life. I also loved that story from 944sboyee(i think it was him) how he helped the kids who stole the badge from his car run a car wash to buy themselves badges.

On the other hand there's the 2 guys from canada talking about the people driving around with slingshots... if they're driving around doing that it's safe to say they old enough to be past the point where you can teach them right from wrong. There are some people that sometimes just need to be "scared straight". Ok that's enough preaching for tonight

Pat
