Lost power steering

Soo my power steering was working fine, pulled in to get gas, started the car back up, backed out, as soon as i pulled onto the road I noticed my PS was gone. Fluid in the reservoir (the correct ATF fluid), belt attached and tight, everything is turning but no PS. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks!

Check for fluid in the 2 rubber boots by the tie rods. You may have blown a seal.

There is also a filter in the bottom of the PS reservoir that may have clogged--(unlikely)?
If you replace/rebuild the rack, replace the PS reservoir.

I bought a rebuilt rack at AutoZone with a LLT limited life time warranty a couple of years ago. I thought of rebuilding the rack with a kit available but went for the rebuilt rack instead.

Ended up being nice and easy - the pump. Replaced it, then decided to dissect the old one. The c-clamp that holds the shaft into the pump must have flown off and the shaft basically almost fell out. The c-clamp was sitting inside, so I put it back on and now I've got a spare pump
