1993 968 Airbag Reset
I have a 93 968 the PO had a momo steering wheel then replaced it before he sold it to me. The airbag light was off when I purchased the car. Today I replaced the stock because it would not cancel the turn signal. When I pulled the steering wheel I noticed the clock spring connector was unplugged and a resistor was used to jump it. I spoke to the PO he said the clock spring was bad, I replaced it with a known good one. Now I have the airbag warning light. How can I reset it without spending a small fortune. Any help will be appreciated.

Clark’s garage has the procedure. Worked for me. Good luck!

Sorry, Clarks DIY procedure only works on 1989 and earlier cars.
The newer cars need to be reset with the Bosch Hammer (shown in the factory service manual as Porsche 9288) Possibly the Durametric tool, but IDK for sure.

I've had success with resetting the airbag fault using the Durametric tool on 1990+ S2 / 968.
Good Luck! John

I have an airbag fault, and tried to reset it with Durametric, and had no success.

That might mean there is a fault and it was not just the typical glitch from disconnecting the battery or removing the steering wheel.
