air-con drain?

Can anybody tell me where the melted ice from the evaporator drains away to, (944S2), there is never any water under the car after i've used the air -con and its been standing on the driveway, i'm wondering if it's sitting somewhere instead of draining, another make of vehicle I owned used to leave a small puddle of water.

regards les

Passenger side...look for a rubber tube around the curved in part of the firewall in the engine compartment. If it gets clogged, and the water goes inside, the least of your troubles will be a slightly wet carpet. There are some electronics in that area as well.

the carpet on the passenger side will bet wet if there is a problem but the amount of water that drains depends on the amount of humiditity or moisture in the air when i lived in california i had very little water drain since the air was dry when i moved to florida i could water the lawn with the amount of water that drains out of the a/c because the humiditity is 95 to 98 percent durring the summer the higher humiditity the more water that condenses on the evaperator if the passenger side carpet isnt wet dont worry

My '86 951 drain clogged up a couple of years ago. Eventually, water sprayed out of the center dash vents and flowed into the glove box during hard cornering. The spraying from the dash vents happened at Roebling Road race track - kind of got my attention. The tube on my car drips on the torque tube. I unplugged it by carefully shoving a piece of wire up it from under the vehicle. It is not the easiest thing to get at but once cleared, almost a quart of water came out.
