Blowoff Valve on 951
Is it true that you check your blowoff valve by seeing if it holds pressure when sucking on a line connected to the top of it? If this is true, mine is shot. If not, how do you check the operation?
Has anyone gone with one from Huntley? Can the huntley one be used with stock airbox and pipe setup? How about the stock Porsche valve for the 993 turbo? -g

Thing has a diaphragm in it. It should hold vacuum. If you can draw air through the little nipple at the top, it is a goner. It routes the compressed turbo intake air back into the turbo inlet when you let up on the throttle.

Yeah it's toast. I just ordered a new one (Forge Motorsports) from Stratmosphere.com for the VW/Audi 1.8T motor. It is actually designed to replace the Bosch valves like our cars. They market it for the 1.8T motor. The spring rate is adjustable and it is piston based.
$139 - more than the oem replacement but about half as much as the huntley model. I'll let you know how it works. -g
