Rear hatch cross match?

Hey guys, i was doing a little rear hatch research and came across a possible cross match for the rear hatch Glass and possibly rear hatch. The Renault Fuego.

Questions:
What do you think? does the rear hatch look the same to you?
What OTHER parts could be the same?

I know that the 924/944 has parts in common with VW, BMW, Audi, and of course other Porsches. However...the fact that there are parts in common with Renaults opens up a whole new world.

It sure LOOKS like the same hatch glass...
Do ya think we can use Fuego trim pieces to do a successful Spoiler delete?

hmmmm..

Looking pretty close. The defroster lines are different, but it seems like the same piece, the wiper hole is not in the same place.

Of course, kinda difficult to actually compare the two as Most Fuegos are long gone.

Tell me those are wheel covers or did someone at Renault actually get paid to design those wheels.

Those are plastic wheel covers. I was a mechanic in the 80's and remember doing lots of brake work. The rims were similar to Audi and the brakes were too small. IIRC the engines were very sensitive to overheating but if you kept them in coolant they were fairly dependable. Almost no one would work on Renualts at the time so we had them from all over. Fuego's weren't all that bad...LeCars were just awful.
