you can verify this is the problem by removing the slave and shining a flashlight into the window while moving the clutch fork by hand. good luck.

I have used a small pry bar to push the lever through the small window with the slave still in, there was quite a bit of resistance, and when i pulled the pry bar out, it pushed the lever back out immedietly.

I am going to go and pull the slave to check it out though. Seems like it is relatively easy to pull...

I'll report back with my findings.

If the slave isn't leaking I'm going to doubt the problem is there.

Truckin4life 11-08-2011 08:07 AM

Pulled the slave, pulled the clutch fork back and i was unable to push it forward...

But, i did notice that it wasn't centered in the hole.

Double checking the clutch fork on my parts car if the fork is properly seated than the cup is in fact centered in the slave cylinder hole.

So 1 of 2 things happened here.

1. Clutch fork is bent. Which upon looking at it, would be very hard to do with it still in the car, and would be hard to do even if it was out of the car.

2. the clutch for was not properly seated (rookie mistake here)

I am leaning towards option 2 it doesn't take much to get it off track and i cant clearly recall making sure that it was set properly before i stabbed the engine. So the next step is to try and find a way to fix it with out pulling the engine completely...

I believe if i un do the bell housing bolts, and undo the bell housing from the Torque Tube, than i should be able to get enough space to properly seat the clutch fork and move forward from there.

I do still have a leak some where, but it will be much easier to fix once everything is working as it should be...

Any input here would be appreciated, i feel like im on the right track. But this is my first porsche, so i do appreciate any and all input that is given here.

Thanks for everybody who has chimed in and to anybody that continues to chime in! Its appreciated!

you are going to have to either pull the engine or the transmission. sorry.

is it all likely that clutch fork is only being pivoted on one of its bearings?

Truckin4life 11-08-2011 07:15 PM

Yea i discovered that, ill be dropping the trans tomorrow.
