call me lucky

My power steering rack stopped leaking. I bought it years ago. It sat on my shelf while I rebuilt the engine. I installed it a few months back. It leaked as soon as I put it in. Oh well more work, more money right??? Wrong. It stopped leaking!!! Why? Power steering still works.

So what gives???

Knocking on wood,

Rick

you're lucky

It might have been running at a higher pressure causing the leaks, then now it's not running as much pressure means no leaks?!

Maybe some junk plugged up the leak?

Won't last... These things don't fix themselves.

+1 Mine was leaky and it didn't fix itself.(sad) I would use it as long as it doesn't leak, then fix it. Just plan on fixing it, keep it in your budget. I bought a rebuilt one from Autozone. Works great so far.
