I've got one and I'm in Wisconsin. Don't know how far you want to travel for it though.

Is the hatch and glass fully attached, as in I won't have a seperation for a long time? If so, that might work out ok... I will be in Chicago in a couple of weeks...how far are you from there?

If you look at where the glass is attatched to the frame (all around the perimeter of the glass) you will either see all black at the seal (through the glass) or you will see a kind of seperation between the glass and the frame.

Take a look and let me know what you think...I will take a picture of mine for comparison.

Thanks,

Andy

Here are a couple of pictures. Can you see the seperation? If yours does not look that way it is in good condition.

Any particular reason you're looking for another hatch rather than getting the one you have fixed? If you find a hatch that doesn't show any de-lamination, it's likely been fixed at some point. Go talk to someone at an auto glass shop and see what they have to say.

I understand it is very difficult and time consuming to re-do (DIY) so I was looking for the easy way out...any opinions on how many hours or cost to redo?

Easy or cheap? - I would think having a glass shop re-seal would be less costly than getting another hatch...

I had Henderson in Farmington Hills (they're across the street in Livonia now) just inject some urethane between the glass and frame on mine. I scraped out everything I could beforehand, then just painted on some mastic on the outside to mask the glue. Yes, it's not as neat as a proper re-seal where the frame is removed, but it was easy and cheap - they didn't charge me anything to do it; the shop guy just enjoyed the challenge...
