Gauging Interest in Light Weight Sun-Roof Panels...

Thinking about making me some light weight 944 Sun-Roof panels.. Similar to this one, with ducts.

I have been running one in the 69 car for years.. 'Any interest?

How much lighter do you think they'd be, vs. the stock panel?

Not interested, just a comparison point...

.
About 4lbs VS 22lbs for the stock panel.. These are "RACE" parts, you either bolt & glue it in..

Less than $200, fiberglass or poly, we need to see which is best for the money and most likely either NACA ducts or smooth finish (stock appearance) as the cost for the molds isn't cheap.

I'd be interested if it was a smooth finish (no ducts). Would it still have provisions for mounting the clips and sunroof liner?

Why are the ducts in the top? That will suck air in the car and pressurize it, with the windows up.(?) How do the ducts help in racing? Just curious.

It seems like the area above the sunroof is a low pressure area, wanting to suck air out, if that makes sense.(vacuum) I would think it would want to suck air out of the cool suit. I could be wrong. If you drive with the sunroof off and put your hand up where the sunroof would sit you don't really feel any air, almost a vacuum. Just my observation.

Cool sunroof, though
