Porsche Crest 10 speaker stereo system

I have the 4 speaker system, but would like to in the future to go to the 10 spkr setup. Question: are the mounting spots already there in the door frame? Should I make holes/adapt grilles to my existing door panels or seek oem (used or new) panels made for the 10 spkr setup? What about the rear panels how do they differ? (4 spkr sys = 1 spkr outline in rear (perforations...); 10 spkr sys = ???) Would appreciate help in this topic, I want to improve my system but retain factory look!

In order to install the factory 10 speaker set up, you will need the door pockets with the speaker provisions/grilles...In the front, it is a tweeter, a midrange, and a midrange woofer on a 3 way x-over...the tweeter is behind a grille that is mounted above the power window switches...In the rear side panels....there is a removeable provision for the midwoofer...you'll see it when you remove the side panels....The speakers/door pockets/panels are hard to come by, and usually come at a price...My suggestion, is to get a good quality 2 way 4x6 for the doors, and add a good quality tweeter above the power window switches(This helps tremendously!)...In the rear side panels, either use a midwoofer, or a good quality 4x6 with a supplemental tweeter mounted on the outside of the side panel(huge difference)...and add a bazooka tube to bring up the low end....I'll post some pics of my system in the next couple of days....I achieved some real good sound with 4 Infinity 4x6 plate speakers(3.5"mid/1"tweeter), and 4 supplemental Infinity recessed tweeters on a 350 watt Blaupunkt amp, with a self-powered 8" bazooka tube...It provides plenty of bass...I have to turn it way down, so it isn't overpowering...I was amazed by it!...Good luck, Cus
