Yet another refinishing Fuchs post...reanodization?
So I've got these 16x7" & 8" fuchs here that I've already stripped & have hesitated to remove the anodization as most how-to manuals suggest.
Mine do have some gouges on the outer edges and i'd like to get them smoothed out so I suppose that means I have to lose the anodization at least on the exposed portion of the wheels. Without a way to reanodize without paying big money for someone like wheel enhancement what are the other ways to fix the wheels up? A friend suggested pen anodizing which sounds a bit experimental for my fuchs... I really like the look of the dual anodized wheels and when paint-stripped these wheels almost look like the dual anodized finish except the coarse area is a bit splotchy. Has anyone sucessfully performed a dual-anodized or similar finish at home that wouldn't mind giving some advice?http://www.pelicanparts.com/ultimate...2140007-sm.jpg |
