As is often the problem when shopping for a previously owned car is when you find two very similar cars with slightly different options. Fortunately for those of us who are looking at 968's the list of options is not very long...
However in your opinion: How much more would you pay for the leather interior? How much more for a M030? Did the M030 come with 16" S2 style wheels? (I am finding very nice 968's in my area from $15000 for a no optioned car to $20000 for a M030) Thanks for your support, Scott

Scott:
If you could get a 968 with the M030, then I'd say GO FOR IT! However, $20k for a 968 couple is a little steep, even with the LSD and sport suspension. Excellence values for 968 coupes range from $12k for a 1992 in poor condition, to $23700.00 for a '95 in excellent cond. For a good condition 968 with LSD, I'd have to say it's worth about $16-17. Just my $0.42. -Zoltan.

Thanks Zoltan,
I have the recent Excellence and that serves as a good baseline although there is room for variance. For instance I looked at a 1994 red/black for $15K in excellent condition... the original red paint job looked like it would glow in the dark no tears or cracks in the interior. but has cloth upholstery, no LSD, no extra goodies. So how desirable IS the leather interior? And IF I wanted to upgrade the car to M030 specification it would run more than $5K. On the other hand some people suggest that a M030 car has such a harsh ride that it is unpleasant to ride in... while others claim it is worth putting up with as a trade off for the outstanding cornering ability. BTW the 1994 red/black no option 968 also ran/sounded like a new car. Such is life
