Fabricated intake manifold help.

Hi all,
As part of my 87 944S restoration I am planning on converting the motor controls to Megasquirt for fuel and ignition.
Short version is I am looking for some help in fabricating an intake manifold to mount a pair of dual Jenvey throttle bodies.
Anyone have any input?
Thanks much
Jeff

You'd probably be better off and find it easier to use four jenvey throttle bodies with a cut-down stock manifold. Jenvey make the adapters to mate their single tb's to almost any pipe. Personally I would go for TechGT instead of Megasquirt if I was doing this. Curious are you doing TPS or MAP?

Thanks for the input 9FF.
I will take a look at the Jenvy individual TB's, your idea makes sense from a fabrication viewpoint.
Using Megasquirt as this will be my fourth conversion, and I am pretty comfortable building the control unit, wiring, sensors, setting, etc.

I will being using TPS, and MAP, of course I will need to adapt a variable output TPS sensor, and a manifold for vac.

Regards
Jeff

You can probably cut your stock manifold down keeping the injectors and fuel rail intact. I would cut it so you have something that resembles the Lindsey intake (minus the plenum).

You should then be able to then weld 4 Jenvey adapters to take their slimline series (SFS) line of tb's without injector holes. There should be plenty of room there even to run small horns, if not you can fit a remote oil filler like the dry sump engines have and create even more room.

Interesting project, GL and keep us updated.
