Hi Guys,
I know this is maining a US board, but here's something for the brits on the list. I know it human nature to complain at the drop of a hat, so I though I should try to balance things a little. I have just had my 1986 924s serviced (including the cam belts changed), at Hartech Automovtive (Bolton, UK, www.hartech.u-net.com ) and I have to say the car has come back feeling a 100% better. I had the belts changed, plus the rear wheel bearings, all the fluid changed plus a MOT which required two new rear tyres. The guys at Hartech were great, they checked the water pump (as recommend by newsgroups) and said there was no need to spend the money, as everything looked a OK. They also talked me out of spending other money as the parts were not required at this point in time. Last night I got to take the car for a real run (Manchester to York), and it felt great. Everybody who has got in the car has remarked on how clean and fresh the car looks and smells. I don't think I will be taking my car anywhere else. Its so different from my experencie with my Toyota which I had serviced/MOT at the same time as my 924s. Which has had to go back twice (correct its timing and then an oil leak).
