Are my heater clips broken? (w/ video)
My 86 n/a has the dreaded heat always on. I replaced the heater control valve, and I don't see anything obviously broken with my plastic clips under the dash, but I want a second opinion from those of you who have seen broken clips before. This problem started after driving over a rough milled road that was about to be repaved.
If the clips look ok, guess I'll be looking for a new control unit.. |

I remember 2 rods in mine. I only saw one rod in the vid and those looked OK. See if you have another rod in there. If it's hanging loose you need new clips. Also, there is a blue check valve off the brake booster that can go bad. Check it by blowing in ea side, only one side should let air through.
