Best Cement for recovering a dash?

OK I have my new (used) dash, the old vinyl is very easy to peal off (just did a few little areas and have a heat gun ready to go), will be getting the new vinyl this week (from a Marine shop), what is the best Cement to use for long term that holds up well for many years to come? I do not want to use the "Trim Ring" I want to try to cut out the vent holes, and secure it from below
I may post a video or 2 about recovering as I go.
thanks

When I recovered my dash, I searched the internet and read a number of posts on what adhesive to use. There were a variety of adhesives mentioned but the most recommended was Weldwood.

I made test pieces and left them in the sun all last summer and the adhesive is still really strong. I used the trim ring because I couldn't get the vents to look right and I'm thrilled with how my dash turned out.
