Topic: 951 in flames, close call.../Update

So, today driving down the freeway what was meant to happen finally did. Oil pressure went down just a notch and I saw a lot of smoke from behind the car. Didn't think it was a big deal but it was smoking a lot.
A few people pointed to my car, and told me it's on fire... So, I drove to the shop, popped the hood, and it went up in flames for just a few secs (had the fire extinguisher handy). Looking around trying to find a leak I finally noticed that the cam tower cap was missing, (later found it on the undertray) ofcourse the entire area was covered in oil, with more still dripping onto the exaust. I knew I was leaking a lot of oil from there, but wasn't planning to fix it until I did something else to the engine, well I ordered the gasket tonight (50 cents) and I'll put it in tomorrow morning.

So, it was a close call... I suppose it could've been the end of my not fully insured cheapo 951, thankfully it wasn't.

So far:
Koni/Bilstein sport shocks, strut mounts, bushings, bearings, hoses, clamps, roll bar, 3-inch open exaust turbo back, fixed windows, rear heatch, replaced trim pieces, turbo water pump, race pads/rotors, braided ss lines, master cylinder, fluid reservoir, some wiring, power locks, etc. etc. etc. for $~5200 including purchase.

I'll update you guys as to where I am in the next couple of weeks with pictures if anybody's interested, it's getting there. If we do the NC meet, some of you will get to see it first hand!
Ahmet
