Question 968 clock

I've noticed in pictures that the 968 has a analog clock underneath the headunit, but that it still has a digital screen in the place where the 944 clock is. What gives???

That's the part I'm not sure of...
I'll ask next time...
I DO know it can do Fahrenheit or Celsius!

It sure would be nicer than the clock. I've already got a clock on my stereo so I keep my in-dash clock on timer mode.

I've got a 90 S2 cab and installed a 968 analog clock...it enhances the dash considerably not to mention it's a heck of a lot easier to read at a glance. I'm replacing the digital clock with the 968 ambient temperature guage...as was just mentioned, it reads in C and F.

If it helps you guys at all, the sensor for the temp gauge is located on the underneath of passenger side mirror. I like my clock but in a way I wish I could install that "boxster" style aftermarket cd storage box that fits in the hole under head unit, really finishes it off.

kgain, I'm glad you mentioned the sensor. I had heard it was in the mirror. Since the mirrors are different between the 944 vs 968, it's not likely to be a screw in arrangement to convert. I have to look for a new spot. Since it records outside temp, the sensors can't be around the engine or exhaust. Hmmm...any ideas? (without doing some long distance wiring)

You could always change your mirrors, I suppose, but that would add significantly to the $$$ cost. Although if you wanted, there are some classifieds on 968.net where u might find some from a wreck. That way you would have the clock, temp sensor, and mirrors! lol
