924 Eliminate Sensors

Hi. This is my first post as I have been able to get the questions I've had regarding my '81 924 NA answered by searching old threads. Suffice to say, there is a knowledgeable group here concerning these cars!
I was wondering if anyone has ever been able to eliminate the O2 sensor and throttle switches on their 924. Right now, I have the wires on the bottom throttle switch closest to the radiator (off idle switch?) jumped together in order to get the idle steady and to get rid of a gentle surge @ ~ 3k rpm.
Any thoughts?

You kinda need those. You should be addressing the root cause, instead of screwing up the car. Most likely you have vacuum leaks...

Sorry to waste your time. I'll try not to "screw up the car" for your sake.
Goodbye.

There's lots of knowledge here, but I don't want to listen to it.
