RPMS Hover

Sometimes my RPMS will hover or decrease very very slowly when I push the clutch in. It happens seldom and randomly, though perhaps moreso on warmer days? Any ideas? Thanks

What year is your car? If 85.5+, the first thing is to check the idle is set correctly.. here are some good directions..

The first thing I thought of was a possible vacuum leak, but you said clutch, not brake right? The lines that operate the clutch should have no impact on idle speed, inless the brake booster vac line is somehow involved?

Could it just be the gauge?

When I push in the clutch the tacho drops to idle revs, until I engage the new gear. Could the gauge simply be sticky?
