Question "Mystic" electric problem please help: 944 type 2

Hello.
I have an 944 85' type 2 with electric problem.
Headlamps going up and down (happened once), window-washers starting random, engine loosing electric power for a second and so on...

And now, finally, the engine want start or run until i block(!!) the DME-relay (Im not shore if "DME" is the right name on it). If i don't take out the blocked relay the battery goes flat in four days or so, so i cant have it blocked permanent.

Where should i start looking? Some people say i might have a problem with battery to ground somewhere....

Please somebody help me;-)
My email is jelseth@online.no

Hi,

This may not apply to your problem, but my 924S had wipers come on without me touching the switch. It came on without notice. If I was lucky I could make it to stop with a wiggle or two of the lever. Other times I had to disconnect the cannon plug to disable the motor. After a few days, though, I connect the plug and the wiper does not act abnormal at all.
In an effort to cure this I sprayed a lot of contact cleaner followed by a lot of lubricant to the steering colom where the switch is mounted. And it worked. I may had free radical moving around in that system making contact.

It worked and alot easier than taking whole thing apart.

Good luck,

Maachan
