I have a 1983, 944 the problem that I am having is, the car will start and run until it reaches operating temp, it is likes it runs out of fuel?. things I have done are, changed fuel/dme relay, out, fuel pump and check valve, tested the fuel pressue regulator ok tested the DME (switched out with a new one) it still die's, tested the reference/speed sensors with multi tester, tach needle bounced ( not a lot but does) need to come up with new ideas and need help from anyone who has had this problem, or similar situation, any help will be appreciated.

did you check the fuel pressure damper?

Engine temp sensor (not the radiator one - the one in the head )

or maybe O2 sensor (if you have one) - disconnect it and see what happens

My engine temp sensor would loose connection when warm and gave me a lot of grief till I found what it was.

Guru's of the 944's, thanks for all of the suggestions, and yes it not only was the temp sensor, also the DME/ Fuel relay were bad even they were new, go figure, remember always buy OEM those other after market parts are no good. thanks again
