Lightened and/or knife edged crankshaft
Is anyone here running a lightened or at least a knife edged crank?
Not after internet opinions but would appreciate hearing from someone who has first hand experience. How much was removed from the counterweights? Balance, vibration issues? Performance gain?

My track car crank was cross-drilled and knife edged and also has a crank scraper. Definatley an improvement when running consistently above 4k rpm. Doubt you will see any benefit on a street machine though and probably some disadvantages. The four-banger needs the weight in the crank/flywheel assembly to maintain the torque, lighten it and you will probably lose low down torque. Not too good for a stop-start street car.
