Venturi Tube?

I recently replaced the rotted vacuum lines on my 1988 N/A with the 944/2 silicone vacuum hose kit from 944 Online. The kit came with the "Y" shaped venturi tube, but I can't find it anywhere in the engine bay. I've removed the air box, AFM, throttle body, and intake manifold, but it's just not there? Was the venturi tube not used on the 1988 models? I've read that it's popular to delete the venturi tube. Maybe the PO did that?

I'm not sure about that, but be careful with 944online. Every time I ordered from them they messed me over, once I was out $400. I was even chewed out when I called about a simple question, started telling me how stupid of an idea it was and giving me wrong info, not to mention their high prices. I buy from Pelican and Zims Autoteknic in Dallas, both ALWAYS treat me with respect and do their best with prices. There's my input

According to nize, the Pelican super moderator, venturi delete kit is only for the 951.
Venturi Delete?

My '88 924S does not have the venturi.

The fat vacuum line from the brake booster goes to the venturi tube on my '87 924S.
The fat vacuum line from the brake booster goes direct to the intake on my '88 924S-no venturi tube.

You could check your vacuum line picture under the hood if still visible.

LR Lindsay Racing has the 951 vacuum line pictures.

I have stayed away from 944online, their prices are much higher than everywhere else, generally speaking.

Not to disrespect the host but I've found Ian at 944online very knowledgeable and helpful. Their prices are higher but they take the time to put kits together for almost every 944 maintenance scenario and they normally work out cheaper that way.

Anyway to the op, I've run my 86na without that Venturi for years without any issues. It's one less thing to go wrong under the crowded intake.

The delete is for the turbo as John has said. The v tube can be seen in the following photos.
20, 44, 50, 53, 53, 56, if that helps.

+1. I've bought a lot of stuff there and had good experiences. Ian is very knowledgeable. The only minus in my book is that Florida is about as far away from Tacoma as you can get, so shipping takes quite a while (unless you wanna pay the big bucks...).

I've found 944 Online as a decent place to get information, but members in the forums can be quite rude if you ask a simple/stupid question. I don't really trust what I read on Rennlist. Pelican Parts has the best 944 forum IMO. I get fast, friendly, and knowledgeable replies every time I post

Thanks for the replies everyone! I was looking at the vacuum line diagram on the passenger fender, but it was kind of confusing. It shows what looks like the venturi tube, but it says it's between the engine and the firewall? From the pictures kfanazini posted it turns out it goes under the intake (very nice car BTW). I guess my car doesn't have one then. If I missed it, I REALLY don't want to go looking for it. Removing the intake and J-boot was a pain in the ass because of all the hidden/nearly inaccessible things attached to the underside of them
