fire again, anybody have an extra turbo?

Hello fellow pelican listers...
My car caught on fire again saturday, it was nothing big, quickly put it out with a fire extinguisher.

This time I'm leaking oil onto the cross over pipe from the headgasket. I'm planning on replacing the headgasket, getting a headjob, various seals, con rod bearings/piston rings/belts/rollers/water pump, etc. I do NOT have money to replace the turbo however, if anybody has a turbo they can give me for cheap I'd appreciate it as mine burns a lot of oil. I'm planning to upgrade it at some point but I'm stumped with classes this summer, and probably won't have time for a job and I just moved out, etc. etc.

Anyway, I'd appreciate any help.
Thanks
Ahmet

I have one that has a very minor shaft seal leak. Actaully I probably replaced it too early. But I don't know what kind of condition your looking for. This is free to a good home of course. K26/6 with 91K on it.

I know this is a little vague, but there is one at my school that may or may not fit, and may or may not be reasonably priced. Heres the story:

As a gift, West Virginia University sent us their formula car from last year. It has a 600cc Yamaha R6 engine, with a turbo that is way too big for our resrcitor plate. The little pricks at WVU ground off the piston domes (to lower compression), so if we get rid of the turbo new (expensive) pistons are in order. Supposingly this turbo is the stock off the 944, but I can check the numbers and make sure if your'e interested. It looks almost brand new, but I just don't know how much it was used.

Its not actually mine to sell, but if you want to email the head of mechancial engineering at West Virginia Unversity Institute of Technology, Dr. Puttiah (sp?), he'll put you in touch w/ somebody who can sell it. We do really need to sell this thing so other things can be bought.

Hope this helps.

Tim

Well, the rebuild is in progress the head is being sent out to be rebuilt tomorrow. I will continue to pull the cross over (and the turbo), oil pan, con-rods and pistons tomorrow... Haven't heard from you yet so please get back to me when you can (if everything goes to plan, I'll be waiting on the turbo to put everything back together by late tomorrow or mid saturday.

Ok, will set up for Monday with Airborne. I understand the urgency I hate being without mine as well.
