What bumper is this?
I have a fiberglass bumper cover made to fit on NA models. It matches up with the NA fenders and front valence quite well.
![]() When I bought the car, I didn't know there was a difference in the fenders, and thought it was a turbo bumper swapped on. The bottom piece shattered into a half dozen pieces while backing straight out of the driveway rather than at an angle. ![]() I've had the idea of patching in a piece from an actual turbo bumper... and I've found a donor bumper, but before I buy it, I'm curious if it would actually work. There are NO bumper supports behind this, no shocks or anything on the car. The bumper was just bolted on.. Not sure if they wouldn't fit or what. |

It would probably work. However, I would recommend getting a true bumper for the car. If a 951/S2 bumper fits behind it, use that.
Take care! |

if you use a 951/S2 bumper, you'll need the bumper cover, the bumper bar, the 951 bumper shocks, the 951 fenders, etc. The 951 header panel and headlight covers are different too but I'm not 100% sure if you need to swap them just for the bumper conversion.

Now that I reword my search for "turbo bumper conversion for 944" that comes up first result. Then the dozen threads about the OEM conversion route. |
