Engine swap

Looking at my engine, the PO said it was a swap from an 84' N/A because the original engine had a cracked head. What can I look for to see the differences? He said when they were replacing the seals he had to re-order because of very tiny differences in some seal sizes. So what do I need to lookout for?

I know when I did my front seals, I noticed that Pelican lists different seals for different engine serial numbers. I found the code on the rear of the block near the speed, reference sensors, on the top. I ordered according to the serial number as the serial number of the engine in the car indicated that it was an '85 and the car itself is an '83.
