Turbo Boost Quits
A few days ago I noticed my 86 Turbo is not reaching full boost. It spools up normally but wont go past the second "THIN" line closest to the 2. It just seems like it has been adjusted to not go past that line. No matter how I work through the gears, It seems to always peak at that same line.
Any Thoughts? ![]() |

You should see about 1.7 bar on the factory gauge or about 11psi.
I recommend getting a 2nd boost gauge, the factory gauge resolution is pretty poor and not very useful for troubleshooting.

It used to hit the 2 bar and get a bit more boost than it does now. I have only had the car for about 7 months but I wasn't aware that it wasn't supposed to max out at the 2 bar. I was planning on getting one of those Lindsey Boost Enhancers to get it back to hitting 2 bar again. Is that a good Idea?
