Porsche Crest 944 turbo Rims 7&8 worth?

I got 2 sets of 944 turbo rims from a bulk sale. I know the racers like these and 930 guys use the 8's for the front. The best way to discribe the condition is " they either need to go to the track or the refinisher. " One set has the stock black centers and the other is painted a silver pearl. They both have a perfect side and a curb rash side. I saw the potential of having a perfect set and a set for racing.

I would like to get a ballpark figure of what these are worth.

Thanks

A pristine set used to be worth about a thousand bucks.

With high performance tire choices in 16" sizes getting slim, values aren't what they were.

The 8" rears are what the 911 guys really like as the 951 rear is the only 8" that will fit the front of a non-turbo 911.

The hot set up has been the 8" 951 wheels in the front, and the (also hard to find) 9" wheel in the rear.
Lots of guys are moving up to 17" wheels for the better tire selection.

The 7" fronts you have are no more valuable than a 911 7x16.

Hey Gunther, long time no see. I am interested in the wheels if they are useable or refinishable. I can trade you some parts and a set of straight '86 Phone dials.

I am in Charlotte as well.

Prices are all over the board, I have seen sales from 400 - 1000 for a set of 951 fuchs. At the high end expect to wait on a sale, at the low end they might fly out the door.

That said I might be interested in a set.

Sorry I haven't been able to get back to you all. Its been real busy here.

@ Black944turbo, Hi, you can tell I haven't been around to much lately, got a new to me 914 race car I'm redoing.

@Byron, I am open to trades, that's how I got these.

Both sets are useable and refinishable. The curb rash isn't very deep, so refinishing should be easy for a pro.

@klaus, Yes they are all over the place. I saw a pristine Pair of rears only, go for $1200 on eBay. I was hoping that by posting it here I would get a real idea of what prices are. EBay can be so crazy. Wow, buy a set for $400, spend a day polishing and painting and triple your investment in a day, YEA that's a way to make a buck

Yes I need to get photos.

I'll get them posted as soon as i can.

If it helps I just sold a set of staggered 16" Fuchs with heavy curbing in places to a 911 guy for $900.

I put a little pollish on one of the 8s and it shined right up. Some Mothers on these should take care of that.
