rear binding.??
ok after the car sits for a while it seems like rear pass caliper is seized and doesn't want to go forward.reverse is fine and after backing up it's easier to go forward.the rear end loads down and all.once going though there are no noises or problems.anyone ever experienced this? any ideas? car is an 88 924s

Sounds like your rear parking brake shoe has lost a spring on the passenger side. There are two brake shoes in the parking brake held on by springs. You get this sort of problem when a spring becomes detached. Works one way binds the other. Unlikely it's your caliper as that would stop it working both ways.
Either way time to take your rear brakes apart and inspect. You have to remove the calipers anyway to get at the parking brakes do check everything WYIT. |

Dude I actually have some brand new springs for the parking brake I bought from Pelican. I needed to fix mine which had rotted out on my old 944 but ended up getting used hardware locally because I needed my car driving. So I could sell you those for cheap
